| Rosemarie
and I fished E. Matagorda yesterday with a 20-25mph S wind, most
of the S shoreline held good colored water for about 200yds out.
We arrived at our fishing spot about 7 am and observed good bait
and fish activity. This would be Rosemarie's second wade fishing
trip, so she was nervous. After a very slow walk down the edge of
the grass we made it to the back of the cove and started our 200yd
grind towards the drop off. Both of us missed several hookups and
lost a couple of fish during the battle but we landed several juvenile
reds and Rosemarie was rewarded with a beautiful 23in trout. Not
the big girl we were looking for but this was still a very enjoyable
trip. |
