Yesterdays
trip produced our limit of Redfish early using Live Mullet and Mudminnows
in fairly shallow water. There was some good penny sized baitfish
feeding up close to the bank that the Reds were feeding on early.
We have been picking up Trout on the outside shorelines of Aransas
Bay and in the Redfish Bay areas using live Shrimp under a rattle
float and freelining shrimp in deeper cuts adjacent to shale and
mud flats. The water has been extremely clear. The visibility is
4 to 5 feet deep in most areas.
There is a few drum up on the shorelines along areas
where there is some water movement along with Reds. Sheepshead are
along the rocks at the Jetties and around some of the platforms in
Corpus Christi bay. Spring break is just around the corner. Be sure
and contact your favorite guide and book your trip early for the
upcoming the spring break vacation to assure the days you prefer
to fish will fit in with your schedule. If you need any additional
information contact me and I will provide you with information you
request. Also I can provide you with lists of Condominiums and Hotels
to stay at along the coastal bend and on the Island for your convenience.
Good luck on your next fishing trip.
