Redfish
are on the flats in and around the Port Aransas-Aransas Pass and
C.C. Bay areas. We are catching our Reds on the flats close to deep
water access. The tides are up and there is plenty of water on the
flats. Trout are biting on incoming tides on the outside shorelines
on a moving tide.
We are using live shrimp free-lined
for Trout and Reds in deeper holes and using a rattle float in shallow
water to produce fish. We are also throwing some plastics. There
are oversized Black Drum in the ship channel. I have been concentrating
on fishing for Redfish and Trout for the past several weeks. I will
fish for those oversized Drum only if my clients want to hook into
one otherwise we will fish hard for Reds and Trout. This is my most
recent report for March 14th 2006. Good luck on your next fishing
trip.
