Jay Stanton along with his son Tyler (9)and their friend Neil made the short drive from Laurel MS. The attention was on Tyler today and he did a great job. Catching the biggest REDFISH of the day at 10+lbs. Many Speckled trout, and several Black Drum. He fished the whole trip and is going to be a very good fishermen. Dad & Neil put a good mess of fish on ice as well. It was a good trip and I look forward to their return.

Location = Bayou Bienvenue area
Winds = 5 to 10 NNW then 10 to 15 SW
Water = clear, 54 to 57 deg
Fish = 49 Specks 13 to 18", 8 Blk Drum 3 to 8lbs, 6 REDFISH 2 to 10+lbs, 1 Flounder at 2.5lbs.
Bait = plastics bounced on the bottom tipped with shrimp. color P.H., E.C. & Avocado

I enjoyed the trip today. You all should have seen the look on Tyler's face when that big REDFISH broke the surface.
