Fishing Report The fishing has been great on Sabine Lake when the
wind lays. The north end of the lake has really paid off. The birds
are working with keeper fish underneath them. The fish are in the
1-2lb range with some nice 3-4lb fish mixed in. The best baits have
been Bass Assassin in Morning Glory/Chart. and Red Shad. Berkley
Power Shrimp in Natural color are also taking some nice fish. The
best bite has been in the morning with the falling tide. When the
wind blows the ship channel has given up some nice catches of specks
and reds. The best way to fish it is to find the calm bank and use
your trolling motor so that you can fish the drop off in about 10ft
of water. The flounder fishing is starting to kick off. The best
bite has been on the Louisiana shoreline on an incoming tide. The
best bait has been a white double tail jig tipped with shrimp. If you have any question are want to talk fishing,
