Well,
it's been awhile since I have updated the report because I have been
guiding deer hunting out in Eldorado Texas. That's up on the Edwards
Plato about 25 miles north of Sonora on I-10. But I'm back now and
fishing has been great. The last few days with the weather being
tolerable but blowing in from the north has produced a lot of redfish
and some tout. Yesterday with a group of three guys from Houston,
they managed to land 22 redfish and 7 trout. The day before the same
guys landed 25 reds and 7 trout. Not bad for this time of year, but
I have had better days too at this time of the year. January can
be a great month to fish if you can catch the weather right. Low
tides really compress the fish into smaller bodies of water and can
make for some fun filled days fishing them.
God Bless,
