The thought of the rainy weather kept most fishermen indoors on Saturday, so I rounded up a couple of diehard fishing buddies and headed to the lake. There were almost no boats at the launch. The lake seemed much the same. We did not see another boat all morning. Too bad for them. The weather turned out to be great. We had one slight sprinkle in the early morning and that was it. The winds were near calm and the lake was slick. The only thing disturbing the water was the constant flow of yellowmouths into the 24' Triton. Caught and easy limit in about 3' of water. These guys couldn't get enough. We trolled the banks for redfish and caught some big ones. The biggest about 20 pounds. Not to bad for 12# mono with Bayou Chub minnows.
